Whatsapp Will Not Work On Some iPhones From 24 October

The messaging service WhatsApp, owned by Meta, states on its help page that all iPhones will no longer be able to use the app; instead, it will only be compatible with iPhones running iOS 11 and iOS 10.

Only two iPhone models, the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5c are currently in production and are capable of running iOS 10 and iOS 11. Starting on October 24, you cannot use WhatsApp on your iPhone if you own one of these older iPhone models.

The iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 users, however, will continue to be able to use WhatsApp for the time being, and they will be informed if their iPhones stop supporting the Meta-owned instant messaging service.

Because iOS 12 is incompatible with Apple's iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C, users won't be able to use WhatsApp when the new features begin to roll out.

According to a rumor, iOS 16 will be unveiled by Apple next month and released later this year, probably at the same time that the firm introduces the iPhone 14 series.

Watsapp just published an item on their help website that reads as follows:

"We frequently stop supporting older operating systems in order to focus our efforts on supporting the most recent ones in order to keep up with the most recent technological advancements. You will be informed and given several reminders to update your device if we stop supporting your operating system to continue using WhatsApp."
