How to Record Calls on Android Smartphones After it is Disabled for Third Party Apps

Following the implementation of Google's new Play Store policy, users will no longer be able to record calls using third-party applications such as Truecaller.

Third-party apps will no longer be able to use the Functionality API for call recording on Android phones under the new Play Store policy; however, you will be able to record calls using the built-in apps.

Recording Calls on Android Devices

The first and above all option is to use native phone apps, which, unlike third-party apps, will still allow call recording. 

However, this feature may not be available to all users because OnePlus devices no longer include the call recording option. In such cases, the Google Phone app may be the best choice.

The Google Phone app can be downloaded from the Google Play store, and some smartphones already have it installed.

Open the Google Phone app after installation and click on the three dots that represent the'settings' option, then tap on Call recording and enable.

"Numbers not in your contacts." When you select this option, auto call recording is enabled for numbers that are not included in your contact list. To record calls with the saved numbers, you must manually turn them on each time.

Because the auto call recording function on the devices is no longer available, OnePlus users with newer android phones will find the Google Phone application installed on their phones.

The auto call recording feature is available on older OnePlus phones. Users of Samsung devices will find similar functionality.

Users can get to the Settings section by simply going to the Phone app and tapping on the three-dotted icon.

You will see a "Record calls" option here; simply tap on it to enable Auto-record calls. In terms of other smartphones, users can access the dialer app and navigate to the settings section.
